Aminoglycosides

Family and General Practice Physicians administer aminoglycosides, a narrow-spectrum antibiotic, primarily for the treatment of aerobic gram-negative bacilli. These potent antibiotics, which include injectable Gentamicin, are used to treat more serious infections. Aminoglycosides disrupt protein synthesis and are known to cause rapid bacterial death.
