Medical Practitioners have used Isopropyl Alcohol 70% in their practices for many years as a means to disinfect and clean minor cuts, scrapes and burns or prior to stitching and dressing a wound. Most Isopropyl Alcohol 70% is effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses and evaporates quickly. Because of these qualities, Isopropyl Alcohol 70% is also used for disinfecting office equipment and some medical devices such as stethoscopes or for disinfecting exam tables between patients.
