Physician Spotlight

Dr. Rosa Navarro, MD

Recognizing the Vision Behind Navarro Pain Control Group

A gifted student with an exceptional aptitude for mathematics and science, Dr. Navarro was encouraged to pursue higher education in the United States. She went on to attend the University of Southern California, where she earned a dual degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering. Her path to success, however, was not easy. She supported herself through scholarships, hard work, and determination, balancing a demanding academic course load while overcoming significant personal and financial challenges.

These milestones are how she merged her engineering background with a calling to medicine. Dr. Navarro has practiced medicine since 1994, building a career that beautifully combines science, innovation, and compassionate care.

Neuromodulation in particular has allowed her to unite her passions for medicine and engineering, leading to innovative approaches in chronic pain treatment. She became an internationally recognized expert in neuromodulation and developed novel ways to help treat chronic pain, further distinguishing her as both a clinician and innovator.

At Clint Pharmaceuticals, we are proud to recognize the physicians and practices who have supported our company through the years and who continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of their patients. This month, we are honored to recognize Rosa M. Navarro, MD, a valued customer who has ordered with Clint Pharmaceuticals since 2013.

Dr. Navarro and her staff have always been an absolute pleasure to work with. Their professionalism, kindness, and loyalty over the years have meant so much to us, and we are sincerely grateful for their continued business and partnership. It is physicians like Dr. Navarro who help make our work so meaningful, and we are proud to highlight her remarkable story and contributions.

Dr. Navarro is a board-certified anesthesiologist in Pain Medicine with specialized training in interventional techniques. She has devoted her career to serving the Mexican-American community in Southern California, providing expertise in anesthesia, spinal cord stimulation, chronic pain management, neck pain, thoracic pain, low back pain, non-surgical therapies, minimally invasive peripheral injections, medical research, and regenerative medicine, including PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections.

Her journey is one of perseverance, brilliance, and compassion. Born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Dr. Navarro grew up living between two worlds, spending her days in school in Southern California and her evenings at home in Tijuana. That early experience shaped both her resilience and her desire to make a difference. From a young age, she dreamed of becoming a doctor, even while navigating the challenges of a modest upbringing and the realities of life along the U.S.-Mexico border. She often witnessed hardship firsthand, experiences that helped inspire her commitment to caring for others.

After graduating from USC, Dr. Navarro was recruited by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL/Caltech), where she worked for six years as an electrical engineer. There, she specialized in highly technical work involving microprocessors and fault detection for space-bound components. Despite her success in engineering, the dream of becoming a physician never left her. When her son, Arthur, was 6 years old, she chose to return to school, took the MCAT, and was accepted into multiple medical schools, ultimately continuing her medical education at the University of Illinois, followed by residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Chicago and a pain management fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital.

Today, Dr. Navarro continues to serve patients through her private practice, where she focuses on helping individuals find relief and restore quality of life. Her work is especially meaningful within the Hispanic community, where she remains deeply committed to patient education and ensuring people understand the many options available for pain management. Her ability to communicate across cultures and bring advanced therapies to her community reflects both her personal roots and professional mission.

Her story is not only one of achievement, but also one of heart. Because much of her family lives in Tijuana, Dr. Navarro returned to practice medicine near the border, allowing her to remain close to her loved ones and help care for her mother. Dr. Navarro's mother, now 94, lives with her and her husband, a detail that speaks volumes about her devotion to family as well as patients.

Dr. Navarro’s life and career embody perseverance, intelligence, service, and compassion. She proudly lives by the motto:

Working together for a better way of life

Trabajando juntos para un mejor estilo de vida

This message captures the spirit of her practice and the impact she continues to make on the lives of her patients every day.

At Clint Pharmaceuticals, we are truly honored to recognize Rosa M. Navarro, MD this month. We are grateful for her trust, her business since 2013, and the consistent professionalism and kindness shown by both her and her staff. It is a privilege to serve practices like hers, and we look forward to continuing our valued relationship for years to come.

With sincere appreciation,

Clint Pharmaceuticals
